EAST LANSING, MI — Two Michigan State University students who were among the injured in a deadly shooting in February on campus are planning to sue the university.
Troy Forbush and Nate Statly were in room 114 of Berkey Hall when Anthony McRae of Lansing started to shoot, killing two and injuring five others there and killing a third student at the MSU Union later.
Injuries for the two students were among the most serious of those shot. Forbush had planned on being an opera singer and was shot in the left lung, while Statly was shot in the head. He can no longer speak or walk and is being treated in Chicago.
