BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two Springfield men are now behind bars after getting stopped by police and caught with methamphetamine.
The arrest happened around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 12 when members of the Battle Creek Highway and Hotel Interdiction Team saw the men leaving a hotel in the Beckley Road corridor and stopped their car for a traffic violation.
Police then searched the vehicle and found suspected methamphetamine. Search warrants were then generated for two nearby hotel rooms associated with the subjects where more suspected meth was discovered.
Both men were lodged in the Calhoun County Jail: The 34-year-old driver for drug charges, and the 35-year-old passenger for a parole violation.
