KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kzoo Parks and the Kalamazoo Youth Action Council (KYAC) is inviting Kalamazoo-area teens to “Dive Into Summer” at a new event on Saturday, June 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kik Pool (1018 Walter St).
Organizers say the event will celebrate the start of summer with music, activities, pool games, and water inflatables along with a chance to win tropical themed prize baskets.
Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to attend and will have free entry to Kik Pool for the event and can RSVP by emailing kzooparks@kalamazoocity.org or calling 311 or 269-337-8000. RSVPs are helpful for planning purposes, but not required.
“It’s great to see the new events KYAC is bringing to our community for teens to meet new friends and have fun,” said Kya Mitchell, Special Events Coordinator at Kzoo Parks. “We’re excited to welcome more guests to the pool and help celebrate the beginning of summer!”
The Kalamazoo Youth Action Council was formed in 2020 by Kzoo Parks as a way for youth in Kalamazoo to guide youth programs and activities while developing leadership skills, learning about city government, networking, and making friends.
