KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Today is the last day of classes for Kalamazoo Public Schools, at least for most of the students.
Interim Superintendent Cindy Green says they plan for a robust summer school program designed to help high school students who have fallen behind this year catch up to their classmates.
They will also have programs for students in kindergarten through fourth grade, and for students making the transition from elementary to middle, and middle to high school.
She says all students are being allowed to hang onto their laptops this summer so they can stay informed on summer programs and she is urging them all to keep up with their reading.
Today will be a half day of classes before summer break.
