KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is getting set to invest $1.7 million for crack filling and resurfacing on 16 miles of M-40 from M-60 to the Marcellus village limit in Cass County and on M-152 from the Berrien/Van Buren county line to M-51 in Silver Lake Township, Cass County.
This work is scheduled to get underway on Monday, June 5 and is expected to be completed by Friday, July 28.
Drivers in this area should expect lane closures and traffic regulators.
MDOT officials say based on economic modeling, the investment is expected to directly and indirectly support nearly 21 jobs as well as will improve the driving surface of the road and extend the life of the roadway.
