Five injured, building hit, as two cars collide at Kalamazoo intersection overnight

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Five people were injured in a two vehicle crash early this morning at the intersection of Park Street and Michigan Avenue in Kalamazoo.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says around 2:00 a.m. the two vehicles collided and suffered significant damage, in addition to striking a business at the intersection.

One patient suffered serious injuries while another was trapped inside a vehicle requiring the use of hydraulic tools to safely remove them.  In total, five people were injured from the accident and taken to area hospitals for treatment.
