STURGIS TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – St. Joseph County Sheriff’s deputies seized a substantial amount of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Friday, May 25.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, it happened at 10:15 p.m. on Centerville Road near Fawn River Road in Sturgis Township.
Deputies suspected narcotics were inside the vehicle they pulled over, which was driven by a 36-year-old Mendon female. They then called for assistance from the Sturgis Police K-9 unit, who then helped them discover the Fentanyl and Methamphetamine.
The Sheriff’s Office now seeking several felony charges on the driver.
The road patrol was assisted on scene by the Sturgis Police K-9 Unit and assisting Sturgis Officers.
