KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 29 in downtown Kalamazoo on Michigan Avenue, near Rose Street, and will make its way to the Robert L. Cook Veterans Memorial Plaza at Rose Park where a presentation of wreaths will take place, and then continues onto Riverview Drive and ends at the intersection with Gull Road.
Parade participants this year include floats, military vehicles, marching bands, fire trucks, and more. Veterans of all wars since WWII will be honored.
Dr. Fred L. Johnson III is the guest speaker at the event. Dr. Johnson is a veteran and a history professor at Hope College.
