KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety investigating a brutal stabbing death of a Galesburg woman.
Authorities say public safety officers responded to a report of shots fired with a female victim in the 2200 block of East Cork Street on Saturday, May 20 a few minutes before 6 p.m.
On arrival, officers found Taylor Anne Dragicevich who was mortally wounded not by gunfire, but instead by a knife attack.
The 28-year-old had multiple stab wounds on her body to include the face. Officers and LIFE paramedics rendered aid and transported Dragicevich to an area hospital where she died from her injuries a short time later.
On Sunday, May 21 KDPS Detectives along with the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 27000 block of 66th Avenue in Lawton where they took a person of interest into custody and recovered additional evidence.
