KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The 12th Annual Kalamazoo Area Bike Week wraps up on Saturday, May 20 with a Mayor’s Ride and Kalamazoo Bicycle Club’s Bike Camp.
The Kalamazoo Bicycle Club’s Bike Camp is for cyclists like Run Camp is to runners. It began on Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Wind & James event center in Schoolcraft, and will continue on Monday night with rides that prepare cyclists to take on longer rides during the year, such as KBC’s annual KalTour, the Paw Paw Vineyard Classic and Bike Friendly Kalamazoo’s Fall Bike Tour.
According to Paul Selden, Bike Week’s chair, “The events on Kalamazoo Bike Week’s calendar remind everyone of the many bicycling related activities are available in our diverse and vibrant bicycling community — and to remind everyone to drive and bike safely.”
Details describing featured activities can be found on www.kalamazoobikeweek.org.
