LANSING, MI — “Pure Michigan” is looking to appeal to a younger audience. The state’s long-standing campaign, with commercials voiced by Detroit native Tim Allen, to promote tourism is being revamped. Officials with Travel Michigan say this is the first time they’ve geared their ad campaign toward younger people.
The new ads will feature more people, more activities, and more uptempo music, according to a press release. The “Keep it Fresh” ads are expected to air in states across the Midwest and on some national media platforms.
The Pure Michigan advertising campaign first launched in 2006.
