ALBION, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A man who Albion Police say murdered a 61-year-old and assaulted another person on April 19 has been arrested and formally charged.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports 44-year-old Orlando Capado Billingsley was captured hours after a press release was issued which stated he was wanted for the murder of Albion resident Stanley Wilson who was hit by a car and killed.
The suspect was also wanted for assaulting another person during the same incident which took place at an apartment complex on Sycamore Street in Albion.
Billingsley was arraigned last Friday on charges of open murder, assault with intent to murder, reckless driving causing death and driving while license suspended causing death.
He is being held without bond.
According to the Calhoun County Prosecutor, Billingsley will be charged as a second habitual offender.
Police also arrested 36-year-old Tiffany Juvette Showers last Wednesday in relation to the incident. She was arraigned last Thursday on charges of aiding and abetting Billingsley, assault with intent to murder and lying to a police officer.
