LANSING, MI – For the 16th-consecutive year, more Michigan roads are rated “poor” than “good.” That’s according to the state Transportation Asset Management Council’s 2022 Roads and Bridges Annual Report.
The federal-aid roads included in the annual evaluation account for about a third of the state’s roads. Last year, 69 bridges were closed in the state due to their poor condition. In fact, many road projects across the state are focused on bridge replacement this summer, according to MDOT.
