KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – There are few details on the accident, but for a while a major Kalamazoo intersection was closed overnight due to a vehicle-pedestrian accident.
Around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to the report of a semi-truck that struck a pedestrian on Sprinkle Road near the I-94 interchange. The pedestrian was transported to Bronson Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Southbound Sprinkle Road at Cork Street, including the westbound ramp to I-94, was completely closed for a while to allow for the accident investigation. It has since reopened.
