BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Even though Battle Creek Transit continues to operate under a staffing shortage, the City of Battle Creek has announced that new staffing levels will allow for two routes to return to their regular service and schedules, beginning Monday, May 1, 2023
The two routes affected by this change to regular service and schedules are the 3E – Main/Post and 4N – NE Capital routes, both of which will be serviced every 30 minutes, between 5:15 a.m. and 6:45 p.m., starting on Monday.
BCT fixed route service will continue to operate Monday – Friday, from 5:15 a.m. – 6:45 p.m.
Saturday fixed route service continues to be temporarily suspended.
To continue to provide service on all fixed routes, some buses will continue to alternate between routes through the course of the day.
BCT says they continue to focus on the recruitment and training of new drivers, and it is their intent to return to regular operations as soon as possible.
