BANGOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Bangor Public Schools were closed on Monday, April 24 after crews put out a fire at the high school.
According to Superintendent Lynn Johnson, the electrical fire started from a light fixture near the gym. She went onto say although there was a lot of smoke damage, the fire itself was contained to the outside of the building.
The school district said while there was not much structural damage, the fire produced smoke throughout the middle school and high school hallways.
