KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Resident physicians from across the state are making their way to Kalamazoo this week to demonstrate how well they would perform under pressure.
Those resident physicians will be at WMed for the Michigan College of Emergency Physicians Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association of Michigan SimWars Competition.
A total of 10 teams, including one from WMed, are set to take part in the annual event featuring several simulated scenarios to test residents’ skills and abilities in high-pressure emergency situations.
The competition will take place on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Simulation Center at the medical schools’ W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus in downtown Kalamazoo.
Event officials say the winning team will be determined after a lunch break in a final-round exercise where the top two teams from the morning will duke it out to be called the winner.
