KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Stamp Club is set to hold its KAZOOPEX 2023 Annual Postage Stamp Show at the Kalamazoo
County Expo Center.
Event organizers say KAZOOPEX 2023 will bring over 15 dealers from throughout the Midwest to the show and give collectors an opportunity to buy, sell, and trade stamps, postal cards, and envelopes.
The show will also feature new and award-winning collector exhibits and a U.S. Postal Service table where the latest stamps may be purchased, and commemorate the 100 th anniversary of the Checker Motors Corporation in Kalamazoo.
The Stamp Show will feature an authentic Checker Cab on display for viewing with Checker Cab Club members present to discuss the vehicle and the company. Also on display will be a Checker Cab model which was displayed at the Kalamazoo Airport for many years. The display will include photos of Dr. Stryker, some of his inventions, and company sales graphs.
Cachets featuring the Checker Cab may be purchased at the event.
The show is free to attend and will take place Friday, April 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds and Expo Center at 2900 Lake Street.
