KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Pinball at the ‘Zoo is taking place in Kalamazoo Thursday, April 20, Friday April 21, and Saturday April 22. And organizers are boasting three days of tournaments, with competitive players all hoping to improve their rankings to qualify for the Stern Pro Circuit Championship.
In its third season, Stern Pinball continues its partnership with the International Flipper Pinball Association (IFPA) in producing the premiere competitive pinball circuit in the world.
The Stern Pro Circuit is a series of 20 high-level pinball tournaments held throughout the season culminating in the pinnacle event, the Stern Pro Circuit Championship featuring the top 32 ranked players.
According to Stern Pinball Inc., Pinball at the Zoo is five action-packed tournaments over three days:

Main Tournament: Qualifying Thursday 2 pm-10 pm, Friday 1 pm-10 pm, and Saturday 9 am-12:00 pm. Top 24 in “A” finals. Next 8 IFPA ranked 500 or below in “B” finals. Finals will be PAPA style beginning at approximately 1:10 pm on Saturday.

Classics Tournament: Cost is $1 per game with proceeds going to charity. Qualifying Thursday 2 pm-10 pm, Friday 1 pm-8:15 pm. Top 16 in finals. Finals will be a PAPA style. First round of finals will be Friday night at 8:30 pm. After the first round, playoffs will resume at 9:30 am on Saturday morning.

Women’s Tournament: Cost is $1 per game with proceeds going to charity. Qualifying Thursday 2 pm-10 pm, Friday 1 pm-10 pm, and Saturday 9 am-10:50 am. Top 8 with play in the finals. Finals will be a PAPA style starting at 11 am.

Thursday at the Zoo Tournament: FREE Best score qualifying on at least one machine. Thursday 2 pm-7 pm. Top 8 (or 50%–whichever is less) in finals starting at 7:05 pm. Finals will be PAPA style matches.
