SPRINGFIELD, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says a sixth grade student was responsible for threats of violence directed at Springfield Middle School in the City of Springfield.
The Sheriff’s Office investigated the threats on Tuesday night and report that based on the current information, at no time was there an imminent threat to the safety of students at Springfield Middle School.
They say the 11-year-old suspect allegedly threatened to blow up the school and shoot people by utilizing Snapchat.
Investigators managed to contact the student and their parents who reside in the City of Battle Creek.
