Volunteer Paw Paw firefighters quickly extinguish pickup truck fire on I-94

PAW PAW, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Paw Paw volunteer firefighters responded quickly on Saturday morning, April 15 when they spotted some smoke on the side of I-94.

A Facebook post from the Paw Paw Fire Department said that 15 personnel responded to a pickup truck that was on fire at mile marker 62.

Authorities say crews quickly extinguished the flames that were in the engine compartment, but the truck itself was a total loss.

The department was assisted by Michigan State Police for traffic control.
