HOWARD TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Cass County Deputies believe alcohol to be a factor in a single vehicle roll-over crash on Saturday, April 15.
They say it happened around 8:40 a.m. on Yankee Street near Wolfe Street in Howard Township.
Investigation showed that an SUV driven by an 18-year-old male from Edwardsburg was traveling on Yankee Street when he left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. The driver was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
Authorities say he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash which remains under investigation.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Howard Township Fire Department and Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service.
