LANSING, MI — A Tuesday ground breaking event a cargo ramp expansion project at Capital Region International Airport in Lansing shows just how focused the airport is on transporting freight.
Guests today included U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, U.S. Senator Gary Peters, Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin, and Lansing Mayor Andy Schor, along with other elected officials and business and local community leaders.
Major airlines service the Lansing airport, which sets about three miles northwest of downtown Lansing, including American and Delta with daily scheduled service. The airport also serves as a major freight hub for several shipping companies.
