KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency, or KRESA, Board of Education is moving ahead with selecting a new superintendent.
According to KRESA Communications Manager, Jake Fredericks, most of the 15 educator applicants were from Michigan but some were from Georgia, Missouri, Texas, and Washington.
Fredericks added that the board has invited three educators, all from Michigan, to be interviewed Monday, April 17 through Tuesday April 18.
The interviews will be open to the public and are scheduled for:
- April 17 at 5 p.m. – Matthew Olson, Assistant Superintendent at Northwest Education Services, Traverse City
- April 17 at 6:30 p.m. – Mindy Miller, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction at KRESA
- April 18 at 5 p.m. – Dr. Dedrick Martin, Superintendent, Caledonia Community Schools
The interviews are expected to be held at the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency at 1819 East Milham Avenue in Portage.
KRESA officials aim to have their new superintendent on board July 1st.
