ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A University of Michigan survey of over 9,000 state-licensed nurses in Michigan has revealed roughly 39-percent of them plan to quit their jobs this year.
The state already has a nurse shortage and healthcare institutions have been struggling to hire more.
The survey also found 59-percent of newly trained nurses younger than 25 are planning to leave their current job this year.
The study is published in the journal Medical Care.
