KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Three people managed to escape safely after their Kalamazoo home caught on fire early Sunday morning.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Officers responded to the 400 block of Park Place around 12:45 a.m. and saw smoke coming from the front door of the residence. Firefighters quickly sized up the scene and brought the flames under control in about 10 minutes.
The three people living inside of the home were displaced, but were assisted by the Red Cross.
Although authorities say it started in the living room area, the fire is currently being investigated by the Fire Marshall’s office.
