HARTFORD, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Hartford city employee has been arrested for allegedly selling cocaine.
According to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Justin Ryan was arrested on Wednesday, March 15 following a two-month investigation into sales of cocaine involving Ryan. They say the investigation was prompted after receiving multiple tips that Ryan was selling cocaine while employed with the city.
During the investigation, deputies were able to buy cocaine from Ryan on multiple occasions. This in turn led to his arrest while at work at the Hartford Department of Public Works.
Upon executing a search warrant at Ryan’s home, investigators seized cocaine and a handgun according to the sheriff’s office.
Ryan was taken to the Van Buren County Jail on multiple charges.
