LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Attorney General’s office is filing charges against an Ottawa County man for domestic terrorism.
67 year old Daniel Callahan of Fruitport is facing two felony charges in connection with threats he made during a court case appeal he filed against the state.
Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a press release that “threats of terrorism against our state residents cannot go unaddressed. Those who violate our laws intended to protect the operations and safety of those who administer our judicial system will be held accountable by my department.”
The charges are being pursued by the Hate Crimes and Domestic Terrorism Unit.
Callahan will appear in court at a Show Cause hearing on March 14th in Grand Rapids.
