KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Another winter storm is soon to show it’s face in West Michigan on Friday, March 3.
Forecasters are predicting temperatures to remain in the lower 30s which they say will create a lot of wet and heavy snowfall expected to start around 12 noon in the Kalamazoo area.
They go onto say that wind gusts are expected to pick up on Friday afternoon and evening, possibly peaking near 40 miles per hour.
As of Thursday morning, March 2, a widespread 5 to 8 inches of snow looked likely for most areas with 8 to 10 inches or more likely from northern Cass County up towards Lansing, but forecasters say there still could be a shift over the next 12 hours.
Authorities are warning that driving conditions will most likely become hazardous later on Friday, but are expected to improve Saturday afternoon, March 4 when temperatures are predicted to warm up to near 40 degrees.
