JACKSON, MI — The annual Michigan Law Enforcement Polar Plunge in Jackson County raised over 46-thousand-dollars for Special Olympics Michigan this weekend.
The event, held at frigid Clark Lake in Jackson County on Saturday, featured the Columbia Township Dive Team cutting the ice and being there to help plungers get out of the water. The donations exceeded the 38-thousand-dollar goal, according to organizers.
The Lansing Polar Plunge is set for Sunday Feb. 5, at Jackson Field in downtown Lansing. Visit www.plungemi.org to learn more.
