JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two people were injured and one hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Cass County on Thursday, January 26.
It happened on Daily road north of M-60 around 8:20 a.m. in Jefferson Township.
According to Cass County Sheriff’s deputies, one of the vehicles driven by a 17-year-old female from Edwardsburg was heading south on Daily Road when it lost control on the icy roadway. Her vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and crashed into another vehicle driven by a 20-year-old male from Watervliet.
The female was taken to Lakeland Niles Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. The other driver was treated on scene by PridCare Ambulance.
Authorities say both parties were wearing their seat belts at the time, and that drugs or alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
