PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity is calling out for donations for it’s ReStore in Portage.
According to officials, sales at their Habitat ReStore are hopping, but they are looking to catch up with demand.
The ReStore provides low-cost home improvement and decor items, maintains multiple jobs, and keeps tons of goods out of the landfill each year.
They say over the last month or so, with the holidays and inclement weather, donations have slowed to a level to where meeting current demand is becoming a challenge.
The store, located at 7612 South Westnedge in Portage accepts new and gently used furnishings, tools, building materials and home decor items with all profits going to support the Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Affordable Homeownership Program.
The ReStore is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The store can be reached at 269-381-5523 for questions or to arrange free pickup of larger items.
