BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — No injuries were reported in a house fire in Battle Creek on Saturday, January 21, but it did cause around $100,000 dollars worth of damage according to authorities.
The Battle Creek Fire Department responded to 371 West Jackson Street around 5:18 p.m. and saw fire coming from the first and second floors at the rear of the home.
Crews on scene brought the fire under control within 25 minutes which was located in the basement, first and second floors.
Responders confirmed that the occupants were not home at the time of the fire, which is now under investigation by the Fire Marshall.
