ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The University of Michigan men’s basketball team avoided its first three-game losing streak of the season with an 85-78 home win over Northwestern University yesterday.
Kobe Bufkin netted 20 points to pace the Wolverines, who improved to 10-and-7 on the season and 4-and-2 in Big Ten play. U of M visits the University Maryland Thursday.
Michigan State University hosts third-ranked Purdue tonight in East Lansing. The Spartans sit at 12-and-5 including 4-and-2 in Big Ten play.
Elsewhere tomorrow, Eastern Michigan hosts Kent State, Central Michigan entertains Akron, and Western Michigan visits Ball State.
