KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo will be a fun place in 2023, as the area continues to snap back from the pandemic. This according to Discover Kalamazoo Director Jane Ghosh who says among the new events will be the Kalamazoo Spelling Bee.
Ghosh says the USTA’s, the semi-pro sports teams and college sports events and Craft Beer Week, are on the schedule, as well as the return of the National Mixed-Doubles Curling Championships.
Ghosh told County Officials that they have a long list of conventions and meetings coming to town, including the Michigan Association of Counties.
Ghosh says Kalamazoo’s tourism industry has bounced back from the pandemic, and she expects 2022 will set an all time record for hotel stays, when the final figures are in.
