KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The city of Kalamazoo is celebrating Kwanzaa with a week long festival that kicked off Monday, December 26.
Event organizers say the festival was created by Soul Artistry along with other local organizations.
Here are the remaining events for the week:
Wednesday, Dec. 28 — 6-8 p.m. Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility)-Black History Trivia w/SHARE at The Space, 320 E. Michigan Ave.
Thursday, Dec. 29 — Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics)-Kalamazoo Buy Black Day w/ Sisters in Business & Black Wall Street Kalamazoo.
Friday. Dec. 30 — Nia (Purpose),-Virtual Reiki session facilitated by Healing Hearts Studio. Register at soulartistryinfo@gmail.com
Saturday, Dec. 31 — 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kuumba (Creativity)-Breakfast & Books w/ Brown Boy Brown Girl Reads at The Space, 320 E. Michigan Ave.
