LANSINF, MI — Road crews across the state say they are ready for the winter storm on its way to Michigan this weekend. MDOT officials remind drivers to not crowd the plow.
County Road Commissions across the mid-Michigan region will be prepping today for a busy 48 hours with snow expected to begin Thursday evening and continue into Saturday. Wind gusts expected to be over 50 miles an hour will cause drifting snow and perhaps white out conditions.
The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has already issued a Winter Storm Watch beginning Thursday night until Saturday evening. Up to 10 inches of snow is expected to fall throughout the period.
