KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The investigation into the case of a missing Portage mother is now going into it’s second week.
35-year-old Heather Kelley, and a mother of eight, was last seen on surveillance video at a business in Comstock Township in the area of East Michigan Avenue and Sprinkle Road around 10 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, according to Kalamazoo County Sheriff Rick Fuller.
Kelly’s vehicle was found nearby and abandoned a day later.
” And there is evidence with that vehicle that leads us to believe that there has been foul play,” stated Fuller who said also that they were talking with a person of interest already in custody on another charge.
“And we are talking to them, just because we want to make sure that all of our bases are covered. And I say person of interest, what I’m saying that I mean we believe that person has some information that will help us locate our missing person said Fuller, who’s office is working alongside the Portage Department of Safety on the case.
Kelly is described as 5′ 10”, weighing around 130 LBS, with brown eyes and long blond hair with Tattoos of a Lion and Rose on the right forearm, and a Dream Catcher on the left forearm, and wearing a silver heart necklace.
Authorities say Kelly had last spoken to her kids on the phone around 10:20 p.m. stating that she would be home shortly, but never arrived back.
Anyone with further information about where Kelley might be is urged to call Kalamazoo County Central Dispatch at 269-488-8911 or 911.
