KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Terrell Cole has been appointed as the new Deputy County Administrator for Internal Services for Kalamazoo County. Cole is set to take over for interim Deputy County Administrator Patsy Moore effective January 17, 2023.
Cole joins the County from Cleveland OH where he spent the last 20 years gaining experience with the Department of Public Utilities and at City Hall as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, most recently serving as the Deputy Commissioner for Water Pollution Control.
During his time with the City of Cleveland, Cole provided oversight for several departments and initiatives and developed core competencies in operations, information technology management, capital improvements, facilities construction and maintenance, budgeting, project management, and organizational development.
“The decision to appoint Mr. Cole to this role highlights our county-wide efforts to place greater priority on excellence in service delivery,” said Administrator/Controller Kevin A. Catlin. “Mr. Cole’s experience will foster alignment in Board and staff priorities and help strengthen the internal culture of county government. We are looking forward to implementing his diverse skillset to maximize deliberate strategies advocated by the Board and leadership to continue elevating Kalamazoo County in the State of Michigan.”
