JACKSON, MI — Consumers Energy says it is providing help for people who expect to have trouble paying their winter heating bills. The utility is distributing over seven-million-dollars to several nonprofits in the state, according to a press release.
If you already know you might have problems paying for heat this winter, call 211. They can connect you to a nonprofit that can help. In addition to seeking help from a nonprofit, customers can also directly call Consumers Energy for help paying their bill.
