WAYLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Michigan State Police Wayland Post is holding two “Stuff A Blue Goose” food and toy drives over the next week.
The first one takes place on Saturday, December 10 in Barry County at the Hastings Walmart from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with donations of food and toys collected to be delivered to Barry County United way.
The second one is in Allegan County at the Walmart in Plainwell from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. next Saturday, December 17. Donations in Allegan County will be delivered to Christian Neighbors Food Pantries in both Plainwell and Wayland, with toys being donated to Community Action of Allegan County.
Some of the most requested items include canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat such as tuna or chicken, boxed potatoes, peanut butter, cereal, and cooking oil.
