MOTTVILLE, TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State Police troopers are investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a pick-up truck and a semi-truck with trailer combination Tuesday.
The crash occurred on U.S. 12 near Vistula Road at approximately 12:00 p.m. in St. Joseph County’s Mottville Township.
The pick-up truck, driven by a 61-year-old man Florida man, was traveling west bound U.S. 12 when it crossed the centerline and struck the semi-truck head-on, which was driven by a 53-year-old Indiana man.
The Florida man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The semi driver was transported to the Three Rivers Hospital for minor injuries.
