LANSING,MI — Heritage Hall in the Michigan Capitol is finally open after decades of planning. The facility is underground – under a parking lot next to the Capitol building – in Lansing. The new 40-million-dollar center welcomes people to the Capitol and houses historic items.
The restoration of the Capitol in the late 1980s and early 1990s led to discussions of what to do with Heritage Hall. The space officially opened last week, but visitors have been allowed in unofficially since the summer.
