SOUTH BEND, IN (WKZO AM/FM) – In men’s college basketball, number 12 Michigan State University fell behind early and never recovered in a 70-52 loss to Notre Dame in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at Purcell Pavilion Wednesday night.
Junior guard A.J. Hoggard scored 15 points, had three rebounds and three assists to lead the Spartans, while senior guard Tyson Walker finished with 12 points, four rebounds and two assists and graduate forward Joey Hauser added 12 points and seven rebounds.
Michigan State falls to 5-3 overall, while Notre Dame improves to 6-1.
The Spartans returns home to the Breslin Center to open Big Ten Conference play Sunday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m., hosting Northwestern
