BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Battle Creek Police are investigating a murder, after there were apparent gunshots early Tuesday morning in the area of Warren Street near Oak Hill Cemetery.
Police responded after neighbors in the area heard gunshots at about 1:20 a.m. and called 911.
Officers found a 36-year-old man lying in the yard of a home with multiple gunshot wounds.
They tried to give him medical help before LifeCare Ambulance arrived.
The shooting victim died after he was taken to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
Police do not believe this is connected to any other recent incident.
