GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Gubernatorial candidates Tudor Dixon and Gretchen Whitmer clashed on several issues during a contentious and heated one hour debate on Thursday night at the WOOD-TV8 studios in Grand Rapids.
Dixon called out Whitmer at one point over her promise during the 2018 campaign to fix Michigan’s roads.
But Whitmer said the roads are getting fixed.
The Governor and Dixon had strong disagreements over the abortion issue in wake of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.
The candidates had differing views on how to keep schools safe in the State of Michigan
Dixon and Whitmer are scheduled to debate again on October 25.
