VICKSBURG, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A online threat has caused Vicksburg Middle School to be closed today.
Superintendent Keevin O’Neill says Thursday afternoon some of the 8th grade students at Vicksburg Middle School took a school survey.
Late that afternoon, they were notified by the survey company that one of the responses included an anonymous threat against the school.
O’Neill says district administration immediately began working with Vicksburg Police to investigate the threat, and that out of an abundance of caution, Vicksburg Middle School will be closed Friday.
All other schools will remain open with increased police presence.
