ALBION, MI (WTVB) – An Albion tire repair business is being praised by the Michigan State Police for helping out two women after their vehicle broke down recently in the area of R Drive North and 24 Mile Road.
State Police Troopers found out the women’s vehicle sustained a flat tire which left them stranded.
They were forced to sleep in the disabled vehicle.
To compound their woes, the vehicle occupants had no money or credits cards for assistance from a tow truck and could not find any acquaintances that would or could help them out.
Pullen’s Tire Repair was contacted.
It turns out they had to take a spare temporary tire from one of their personal vehicles to fit the temporary donut wheel supporting the flat tire.
They drove a service truck to where the disabled vehicle was. The damaged tire was replaced with the new one.
Pullen’s did not charge the women and even refused to write a bill so they could be paid later.
State Police say the owner and service man continued to tell them that they were just glad to help someone needing assistance.
