DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Houston Astros are celebrating a third straight win after topping the Detroit Tigers 6-3 Tuesday night.
Hunter Brown was credited with his second victory of the season after allowing two runs over six innings of work. Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Tucker and Yuli Gurriel went deep in the win for the ‘Stros.
Drew Hutchison was charged with the loss after allowing four runs over five and a third innings pitched.
Kody Clemens hit a solo home run for the Tigers, who fell to 54-and-88. The Tigers had been shutout in their two previous games.
Houston improved its record to 92-and-50. The two teams wrap up their three game series at Comerica Park this afternoon, with the opening pitch at 1:10 p.m.
