ST. IGNACE, MI — This year’s Mackinac Bridge Walk brought 26-thousand people to the bridge in northern Michigan on Monday.
Mackinac Bridge Authority Bridge Director Kim Nowack says it was a perfect day for the walk with sunshine and temps in the 60s. Attendance was up slightly from 2021, she said.
Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist led the walk this year. The Mackinac Bridge Authority says between 20 and 30-thousand people have taken part in recent years.
